פריז עמדה במרכז הסיקור עם המעקב אחר הישיבה המכינה לוועידה הבינלאומית לתמיכה בצבא. הנשיא עאון נפגש עם עמנואל מקרון באליזה ודן בהפסקת ההתקפות הישראליות, בשלב שלאחר יוניפי״ל, בשיתוף פעולה כלכלי ובחידוש חיפושי הנפט והגז.
המוקד עבר למפגש המשולש עם מקרון ומלך ירדן עבדאללה השני, שבו הציע עאון אסטרטגיה משותפת לביטחון אזורי, שלל קפיצה ישירה לשלום לטובת הסכם לסיום העוינות, והתעקש על ריבונות, כבוד ובלעדיות הנשק בידי המדינה. הוא הזהיר שההזדמנות לבנות מחדש את המדינה עלולה לא לחזור. מקרון תמך בהרחבת סמכות המדינה על כל השטח ובנסיגה ישראלית הדרגתית, כשהסיוע מותנה בתוכנית פריסה מדויקת של הצבא.
