Overnight Russian drones and missiles struck Kyiv, Dnipro and other cities, setting a high-rise ablaze and leaving seven dead and more than 120 wounded nationwide.
By morning coverage concentrated on Kyiv, where jet drones hit Ukrnafta filling stations in two districts, later also a Kyivstar building and office blocks. Two of the wounded died in hospital, with six remaining in care, as the capital endured up to five air alerts in a day and experts debated fuel risks and interception gaps. A Russian strike on Dnipro wounded 12.
Ukraine claimed retaliatory hits on the Saratov refinery, an Ozon hub and sites in seven Russian regions. The EU approved €6.1bn for drones and Patriot missiles, Polish and Estonian ministers visited Kyiv, and Zelensky warned of retaliation for blackouts as Bloomberg reported a US House vote next week on sanctions.
