Overnight Russia launched Shahed drones at Kyiv, hitting apartment blocks in Pecherskyi and Solomianskyi districts and the High Council of Justice building. A 14-year-old boy was killed and the injured toll rose through the morning from nine to around 20.
A second daytime wave struck Solomianskyi again, hitting two business centres, a Datagroup data-centre and a hospital. The combined toll settled at seven dead and up to 59 injured, including children; Israel confirmed one victim was its citizen. Zelensky visited a maternity hospital and convened Stavka on interceptor production for jet drones and data-centre protection.
On diplomacy, Zelensky said Washington proposed a trilateral technical meeting with Russia in the UAE within ten days and claimed Trump had cleared Patriot production licences for Ukraine. Bloomberg reported Trump had urged Zelensky to meet Putin in Moscow, a claim Kyiv's office denied.
